How does the full-truck discount work?
The more bales travel in one delivery, the lower the cost per bale. A full truck gives you the lowest price per bale we offer. Because it depends on your region and the size of the load, we send you a personal quote with your exact price per bale.
How much alfalfa should I feed?
That depends on your horse’s weight, work and the rest of the ration. Alfalfa is usually fed alongside grass hay, not instead of it, and introduced gradually. Tell us about your horses in the form, or try our feeding calculator, and we’ll give you a practical estimate.
Is alfalfa suitable for every horse?
Many horses do well on it, especially horses in work, youngsters and broodmares. For horses with a medical condition or a special diet, check with your vet first. Happy to think along with you.
What is the minimum order?
Half a pallet, 18 bales. A full pallet holds 36 bales. You can order up to 6 pallets online, for more we quote personally.
Is delivery included in the price?
Delivery is calculated separately, based on where your stable is. Your quote shows both, so you know the full cost before you decide.
Can I combine alfalfa with hay, shavings or feed?
Yes. Many customers add hay, shavings or feed to the same delivery, so it all arrives in one go. Just tick the box in the form or mention it in your message.
Do I need a forklift or tractor?
For a few pallets it helps to have a pallet truck or tractor on site. For a full truck an unloader (tractor, telehandler or forklift) is essential, because everything ships on pallets. Not sure? Ask us and we’ll plan it with you.
