What you need to receive your truck
A full truck is big, make sure you're set up so unloading is quick, safe and stress-free.
- Safe truck access. Solid ground, room for a large truck to manoeuvre, and no low branches, cables or narrow gates.
- Someone on site to receive the delivery and show the driver where it goes.
- An unloader on site, this is essential. A tractor, telehandler or forklift. Everything ships on pallets, so both big bales (≈ 500 kg) and small bales (palletised) must be unloaded by machine, not by hand.
- Tell us in advance if access is tricky or you're unsure about unloading, we'll plan it with you.

How many bales are on a full truck?
Small bales, ≈ 1.056 bales per truck, about 25.500 kg (≈ 25,5 tonnes). Each bale is ≈ 24 kg, easy to handle and portion.
Big bales, ≈ 33 bales per truck, about 18.500 kg (≈ 18,5 tonnes). Each bale is ≈ 500 kg, ideal for larger yards with machinery.
Either way it's one full truckload of the same premium French meadow hay, shipped on pallets and delivered & placed at your location.
What are the dimensions & weight per bale?
Big bales, ≈ 500 kg · 90 × 120 × 230 cm. Maximum forage with minimum handling (a tractor, telehandler or forklift is required).

How fast can I expect delivery?
Is the price delivered? Does it include VAT?
A 0% VAT rate can apply when the hay is intended for animal production. This is an official tax exemption that needs a declaration (the 0% VAT consent) and only applies if it fits the registered activity of your company (LDA). It's the exception rather than the rule and we don't actively promote it, but we're required to mention it, so if you think it applies to you, let us know and we'll confirm what's possible. The final price is confirmed on order.
