How does the full-truck discount work?
The more bales travel in one delivery, the lower the cost per bale. A full truck gives you the lowest price per bale we offer. Because it depends on your region, the straw you choose and the size of the load, we send you a personal quote with your exact price per bale.
French or Portuguese straw: which should I choose?
French straw is extra-pressed into compact ≈ 22 kg bales that are bright, clean and low in dust, it stacks neatly on pallets and goes a long way. Portuguese wheat straw is local and economical, in traditional small bales or big bales of about 300 kg. Tell us how you use it and we’ll advise.
Small bales or big bales?
Small bales are easy to handle by hand and ideal for private stables. Big bales work out cheaper per kilo and suit larger yards, but you need a tractor or loader to move them. Big bales start at a minimum of 4.
What is the minimum order?
French small bales start at half a pallet (18 bales), Portuguese small bales at 9 bales, and big bales at 4. The minimum order value is €150, and you can combine straw with hay, shavings or feed to reach it.
Is delivery included in the price?
Delivery is calculated separately, based on where your stable is. Your quote shows both, so you know the full cost before you decide.
Can I combine straw with hay or feed?
Yes. Many customers add hay, shavings or feed to the same delivery, so it all arrives in one go. Just tick the box in the form or mention it in your message.
Do I need a forklift or tractor?
For pallets of small bales a pallet truck or tractor on site helps. For big bales and full trucks an unloader (tractor, telehandler or forklift) is essential. Not sure? Ask us and we’ll plan it with you.
