For yards, riding schools & breeders

Forage for the whole yard, planned with you.

Five horses or fifty: you need hay that is the same from one load to the next, a supplier who answers, and deliveries that fit your storage. That is what we do for stables across Portugal and Spain.

  • Big bales, pallets or a full truck
  • One invoice per stable, with your NIF
  • A personal quote within 1 working day
Three ways to buy for a yard

Pick the format that fits your barn

What suits you depends on how many horses you feed, how much you can store and whether you have a machine on site. Most yards combine two of these over a year.

Big bales

French meadow hay in bales of about 500 kg. €270,60 per bale incl. VAT, from 4 bales. Big bales travel with our own team (Prime Hay Service), who stack them where you store them.

  • Lowest price per kilo in the shop
  • No machine needed: our unloader comes along
See big bales →

Pallets of small bales

Double-compressed bales of about 24 kg, 36 to a pallet, from half a pallet (18 bales). Mix meadow hay, Longchamp®, alfalfa, straw and feed on the same pallet.

  • Easy to handle by hand
  • By our team or by carrier
Build a pallet →

Full truck

A complete load driven straight from France to your yard: about 26.000 kg of small bales or about 18.500 kg of big bales. Price on request, by personal quote.

  • You unload with a telehandler or forklift
  • Delivery date planned together

What a kilo of forage costs you

We sell per bale, but bales differ a lot in weight. This table puts them side by side, so you can compare like with like.

Shop prices on 28 October 2026, per bale, including 23% VAT and excluding delivery. Per-kilo figures are rounded and based on the average bale weight; natural bales vary a little. The cheapest kilo is not always the cheapest way to feed: storage, waste and handling count too. Current prices are always on the shop and hay prices pages.

How much does a yard go through?

Most horses eat roughly 1.5 to 2.5% of their body weight in forage a day. As an example: a 500 kg horse on about 10 kg of hay a day uses around 300 kg a month. Ten such horses need about 3 tonnes a month, or six big bales. Tell us your numbers and we work out the right format and rhythm with you.

Accounts for stables

One stable, one invoice

Running a yard means paperwork. We keep it simple: one account for the whole stable, one invoice per order with your company name and NIF, and every invoice ready to download for your accountant.

  • Company name and NIF / VAT number on every invoice
  • Invoices to download from your account
  • All your horses and feeding plans in one place
  • Card, Multibanco and more at checkout; bank transfer for orders we invoice directly

Regular deliveries

We plan, you feed

Many yards order on a rhythm, every few weeks or every few months. This is how that works with us:

  1. Ask us. Tell us how many horses you feed, what you feed and how much you can store.
  2. We plan. We suggest a format and a rhythm, and fit you into our delivery rounds for your region.
  3. We remind you. About a week before each delivery you get a reminder. Confirm or change it in one click. No automatic charge.

Hay is a harvest, not a factory product, so we never promise stock months ahead. What we do promise: regular customers hear first when new hay comes in, and we do our best to keep your rhythm going.

Delivery

From our warehouses to your barn

Two warehouses of our own, in Almeirim (Ribatejo) and Loulé (Algarve). How your hay arrives depends on what you order:

Prime Hay Service

Our own driver and unloader stack the hay where you store it. €0,95 per km one way from the nearest warehouse, minimum €15, plus VAT, within 250 km of Almeirim or Loulé. The way big bales travel.

Pallet by carrier

€67,50 per pallet plus VAT (€83,03 incl.) anywhere in Portugal, €199 plus VAT (€244,77 incl.) to Spain. The driver sets the pallet down at the nearest safe point with truck access.

Full truck

Straight from France to your yard, on a date we plan together. Delivery is included in your quote. You unload the truck yourself, with a telehandler or forklift on site.

Good to know

Questions from yards

Is there a minimum order for stables?
The same as for everyone: €150 in goods per order, and you can mix hay, straw, shavings and feed to reach it. Big bales start from 4 bales, French small bales from half a pallet (18 bales).
Can you put our NIF and company name on the invoice?
Yes. Add your company name and NIF / VAT number to your account, or send them with your order, and we put them on your invoice. Logged-in customers can download their invoices from their account.
Do riding schools qualify for 0% VAT on hay?
Usually not. In Portugal the 0% rate is only for registered agricultural producers feeding animals kept for food production. Horses kept for sport, competition or leisure do not qualify, whatever their number. Read the 0% VAT declaration.
How do we pay?
Online orders are paid in the secure checkout (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Multibanco and the other methods shown there). Orders we invoice directly, such as full truck loads, can also be paid by bank transfer. We plan the delivery once payment has been received.
Who unloads a full truck?
You do. A full truck arrives loaded straight from France and has to be emptied on site, so you need a telehandler or forklift and someone to drive it. If you have no machine, our Prime Hay Service with big bales or pallets is the easier route: our own team brings the unloader.
Can you deliver on a fixed schedule?
We plan regular deliveries with you and remind you before each one. Hay is a harvest, so we cannot promise stock months ahead, but regular customers hear first when new hay comes in and we do our best to keep your rhythm going.
